I had a long power cut last night long into the evening so everywhere was lit by candles, Sleeping beauty was indescribably beautiful, it was like she had come alive the colours were awesome, I thought it was a good painting in normal light but in candlelight it just took on a new dimension, made me realise how paintings were lit up in days gone by and what a difference lighting makes. If only I could have taken a photo of it in candlelight..............I just had to write about it.
