 ‘The Waiting room’ inspired by Picasso and Delacroix’s the Woman of Algiers but my woman are not in a plush apartment like Delacroix’s painting but in a tent. I called it ‘The waiting room’ but I’m not sure why, I’m not sure what they are waiting for. Four women, two gossiping, one looking out of the window and one looks as if she is carrying the world on her shoulders and waiting but waiting for what?
