I wanted to paint a large painting of my ladies, but I wanted it very colourful with rich reds, blues and greens, I wanted the painting to make a statement to look stunning hanging on a wall with the right lighting. I looked to Botticelli for inspiration I just love his use of colours. My goddess in the middle unlike the other two is dressed as if ready to venture out, I wanted her to look dramatic and goddess like. Lady in blue to her right holding hands and head bowed slightly as in reverence. Lady of many colours on the left also head bowed but with a slight arrogance with her body turned slightly away have being waiting on the goddess, maybe she wants to be the goddess. All three ladies are lying on a lustrous bed of silken scarfs and cushions, their hands adorned by gloves so their touch is sensuous. They are exquisite, voluptuous, luscious timeless and without boundaries or nationalities.
