Top hats, is a large oil painting on canvas from my Crowd collection although I have lots of influences from famous artist such as Picasso I really want to develop my own style. Top hats is a row of faces all wearing top hats and as in all my painting all have a story to tell, but you will never really know what that story is, but you can speculate. I love painting people, but I don’t want to just paint portraits, I want my people to have a bit of character, a little of the night about them I want them to be special. I love experimenting with the soft colours, I love the form they take, I love the beauty, the feeling, the glow it generates, I try to capture that glow with every brush or knife stroke, but above all I wanted “Top hats” to look comfortable ageless, of indeterminate origin or nationality, but above all at ease with themselves.
