I wanted to paint a small painting of one my ladies, but I wanted it very colourful with rich colours, I wanted the painting to make a statement to look stunning hanging on a wall with the right lighting. I looked to Botticelli for inspiration I just love his use of colours. I want my ladies to be exquisite, strong, in control, of indeterminate origin and voluptuous. I want the tone beautifully considered, profoundly sympathetic, and deeply respectful and admiring of the female form portrayed in a atmosphere of wonder, intrigue in all its humble yet life-affirming glory. The paintings that I create are meant to inspire and uplift, as well as enhance your interiors. I believe that our homes should be sanctuaries that surrounds us with comfort, colour, beauty and the things we love.
